thinking of either running 3 AQ SDC2.5 15's or 2 HDC3 15's...wondering what to tune them at. ive heard around 38-40 but that seems high. I had 2 BL 18's @ 33hz and liked the way that sounded so im thinking around 33-35 for the AQ's. Opinions por favor.....

You could get away with lowering the SDC but the HDC has too high of a resonant frequency for them super lows. When you tune 'em down that low that will get F'd up.

I built box for audioque hdc315 tuned to 40hz and it sounded perfect, and being tuned that high it still picked up the lows great. I also built one for 2 hdc312's in a blazer tuned to 38hz and it was same, very good

Straight from shizzzon and DJ and they should know :)

Tune to 38 Hz for daily.......great all around

40 Hz for a little louder, more SPL oriented

Tune to 35 if you want devastating lows and "ok" highs

I have two SDC2.5 12s if you want to trade ;)

They're pretty much the same as HDCs, just not as geared towards SPL

Keep the BL's as the downgrade is a silly idea.

had to read that a couple of times to c what you were saying. commas are your friend

Pretty sure there is nothing wrong with that sentence.....except for the ' in BL's

Grammar>you :)

And SDC<HDC....tis true ;)

You made me re-read it about 4 times, but indeed the sentence is fine. The apostrophe is not supposed to be there indeed but BLs looks stupid but an error on my part.

Moving that way is definitely a downgrade though.
