I was looking at a hifonics bxi 2610d

It's a 2600w amp

But I'm not sure about hifonics ive had mixed feeling about them.

Can anyone help me out?

i like my hifonics i have now, the bxi1208D. it makes music lol but its not my first choice. if you can wait a little the sundown saz-2000 is on preorder for $465. just one option...and my 2 cents

And does sundown work better with fi then hifonics?

Yea I heard hifonics were crap but it's only 400

There are LOTS of good amps for under $1000 that will make plenty of power.

With a $1k limit, you can get a nice amp, battery, and run some 0/1 wire.

You could do much better than Hifonics, IMO.

IA 20.1, Sundown 2000 (Or a couple strapped saz-1000s if you can't wait), or US Amps MD3D?

I like Fosgate, but Sundown looks very nice too.

probably the best bang for your buck would be a refurbished SAZ 3000D from dbr with 1 year warranty for $600 +/- or the 1500D for $330 +/-.

Hey Rodney, I would go with the Brutus 2600...actually I have one in use right now, and I love it! I have the 2610d. I had the 2608d and the 2008d and out of the three I like the 2600. Now like I said "for the money" it is a great buy! I got mine from (vminnovations.com) and it was 350 at the time but now it is 370 I think. Now if you have the money I would recommend the sundown amps! I have a few people that can vouch for me with my little system! It will get the job done just fine

What electrical upgrades have you done? Not possible to offer up a solution without knowing.

I second the Sundown SAZ-2000D

I would go with an AQ 2200 or if you want some headroom get a gp3000d-pro (if you can find one), atomic 3k, or of course the sundown 3k.

Sundown > hifonics
