I would try my hardest to get it out. You have any compressed air?

A damp rag works well. I know my subs came with a disclaimer for cleaning the box of saw dust.

I think you definitely want to get that out if you can.

someone on ca.com suggested something like a popsicle stick, with doublesided tape on it, basically anything you can slide down where the vc rests, and then blow it out while running the sticky stick around to pickup any things that flys around in there
