My friend had an s-10 and used jumper cables as his power wire, jumper cables that had big holes in it that would shoot sparks randomly as he was driving.

well not to condone that but most good jumper cables are around 4 gauge so that wouldn't be too horrible.

    It was more of the fact that it was old torn up cables with exposed wire...that kid is the king of jimmy rigging.
