Posted June 4, 200916 yr I recently bought a 15' Bl and had a enclosure in mind. The enclosures dimensions would fit inside my car,so I went ahead and bought the 15' Bl with the cooling option. It arrived a few days ago and I was super siked. Then I realized how would I get this box into my 99' Grand Am GT. The box will not fit. (This one http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...=1218009774927).Now I'm in a pickle. I have found another box that is ported, that i think will fit in my car. It is on the small side as far as cubic feet wise though.link to it --->http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9026797&st=15+in&lp=4&type=product&cp=1&id=1218009790168Will this box satisfy the needs of this awesome sub?Any recommendations as far as places that sell enclosures? In the worst case scenario, could i send this sub (which is still in the box) back?Ugh...i feel like an idiot Thanks
June 4, 200916 yr thereare many people who build boxes in this forum get ahold of someone in your area and im sure youll be very satisfied..
June 4, 200916 yr no that box wont work you need 3 to 5 cubes maybe if you can post where your from someone may give you a hand and build you a box
June 4, 200916 yr Author I thought about building a box but it kind of seems like a pain in the ass hahaanyone near farmington hills, michigan that can help me with a enclosure?
June 4, 200916 yr Author there is also this box which does not have a port...http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9027242&st=15+in&lp=3&type=product&cp=1&id=1218009790990fi doesnt recommend enclosures without ports... anyone know why?
June 5, 200916 yr For the same reason that no one running a V8 on a racetrack will recommend replacing dual exhaust with single. The sub you bought was designed to run in a ported box, NOT a sealed one. Fi does recommend sealed boxes, just not for the BL. Not only that it was designed to run in a ported box of 3cuft - 5cuft for it to perform. Substituting something else will make your purchase a HUGE waste of money as there are other drivers available for other styles of installations.

June 5, 200916 yr stay away from prefab boxes. Find some one locally to build a box to your specifications, or try building it yourself. MDF is not that expensive if you mess up your just out of 40 or 50 bucks
