Posted April 25, 200520 yr Info:2-10" Alpine Type-R's in a sealed enclosure made from 3/4" MDFVolume:.882 ft^3/subInside dimensions:10"x10"x15.25"/subOutside dimensions:11"x11"x32"Cut pieces:2-32"x10" top & bottom2-32"x11" front (subs will be mounted here) & back3-10"x10" 2-sides and center dividerHow does this look? I assumed that 3/4" MDF is like 3/4" plywood in that the actual thickness is 1/2", or am I wrong? Thanks,Ed
April 25, 200520 yr Actual thickness of 3/4" MDF is 3/4".Have you included sub & center divider displacement?
April 25, 200520 yr Author Sub displacement was considered, .05 ft^3/sub. Should put me at .832 ft^3/sub which if I remember right is almost exact suggestion from Alpine for a sealed box. Center divider was factored into the length. Now I need to go back and figure everything in for the actual MDF thickness, inside dimensions will be the same, but outside will change. Glad I did figure a little small for the truck space it'll actually go into. Thanks ANeonRider, better to find out now rather than when I start building.Ed
April 25, 200520 yr NEONS FOR LIFEBAH! His is sweet looking though! And at least it has some little balls.
April 26, 200520 yr Admin Also, MDF sheets are 1" larger for L and W. So it'd be 49"x97"yeah just big enough not to fit into the explorer to drive it home from home depot
April 30, 200520 yr ^^lmao...man he dont drive a Neon, he drive an SRT-4 dawgsweet car though...it would shure whip my trucks ass all over the pavement.
May 1, 200520 yr ^^lmao...man he dont drive a Neon, he drive an SRT-4 dawgsweet car though...it would shure whip my trucks ass all over the pavement.it's still a neon, regardless of the turbo...now if it was a chevy colbalt ss...the supercharged version..then it wouldn't be quite so ..though the srt4 at least makes the neon a fast wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
May 4, 200520 yr Author it's still a neon, regardless of the turbo...Yeah, tell that to the guy in the WRX I smoked from a dig. He lost to a Neon..Bwahahahahahahahahahah!
