Today as i was listening to my music, my bass shut off. i turned off all power and parked my car at the house. I came out about half an hour later to find my car filling up with smoke and when i opened my trunk i found my port spewing smoke. After i was finally able to get the box out of the trunk, i examined the damage. The voice coil is pretty messed up along with the spider.

I was curious if anyone had any clue what would cause that damage? today was an extremely hot day but i wouldn't think that would be enough to push my sub over the edge.. I've also been listening at that volume since i got the sub in september of last year.

Also, will the BL recone kit on your website work on my older style BL?
