Sub up port up or sub forward port forward

In a 1999 Toyota Tacoma, sub forward and port forward was louder than both up. Sub forward port side is the loudest combo we've gotten in a truck though.

    sorry...im pretty settled on a 15 or 18 BTL, just cant decide on how to make the box, cuz ive always gone sub forward port forward with port on driver side...but ive been rethinking my regular box styles and was wondering what would have the best outcome
