well..nick ur right...inefficient sub, half the power it needs, half the box it craves and absolutely no electrical support for the amp....

everyone i've talked to today says the 144.4 is actually quite a nice number for a musical approach to a spl sub...especially with my current draw and power...

but it still sucks...lol..

and yeah..zero time on the meter until yesterday...

and the LA deal might be bogus. i talked to scott today and he says jamie is full of chit. so either scott doesn't want me to run LA for whatever reason or he's right. anyway, i'll know more thrusday...jamie is making his monthly visit.

we shall see...

man, i wanna do a 150 legal...with no wall..

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

wonder if we could design, and I could build a dual MAG design and break the 150 barrier on the new mic, I have been above 150 with a pair of 15s on the old mic, but to do it with 12's on the new mic would be sweeter

explorer, pending its is still running :faintthud:

that wouldn't be as hard as u think...power is going to make or break ya....explorer's are loud..period. it's almost exclusively what team sweep uses..though james won't share all their secrets...lol...

Does he use a version of the new standard Explorer box? LoL

It aint hard, electrical is the drawback.

any hints on the standard "explorer box"?

let me guess, upward firing, rear facing PVC ports?

nope :D

If I can find the pic, I'll fwd it. Basically - Assuming You have (2) 12"s for Street B: Two seperate boxes. One on psgr side with woofer up port back, the other on the drvr side with woofer facing the side trim panel and port back.

Don't ask me why, but I know of three Explorer competitors that are loudest with this kind of arrangment... and two other SUVs that use the idea.

what the crap? two different directions of fire?

oh yeah..like 8-12 runs of 0/1 guage..

one group 31 blue top..

that's all i know...

You know that not all alignments work for all vehicles. As I said, I've seen a few competitors top out with the standard crx/suv box, then move onto this style and gain dBs. That dont mean it works for everyone... or instantly without tweaking. :P
