I have a RF T500-1bd and I want to try one of these pairs of 10s ported. My girlfriend bought my sealed dcon 12s off me for a great price! Please correct me if I'm wrong, the size of a ported enclosure determines how efficient it will be? I'm going to throw of one these in 1.5 cubes each chamber tuned to 33hz - 34hz. If you've had experience with either of these subs I'de love your input. Is anyone able to tell which of these would be louder? This is the last time I'm going to ask this, I'm either choosing one or the other due to which ever gets more votes.

Larger boxes are more efficient in general, not just ported boxes. But they also lower the power handling because the subs reach mechanical limits easier. So really it depends on how much power you are going to put on them. If you are going with their RMS power, you don't need to build the enclosure any larger.

Glad the Dcon stayed in the family. :) As for the options, I have not heard the level 2's, but I have read a number of positive feedback emails from people who have bought the 187's.

If you are not going to get the Dcon 10's, I think the 187's are an excellent alternative (keeping in mind I have no experience with the DC's ).
