logically think about what does the bass boost knob control, the bass boost; so yeah it is worthless. If you wan to keep your knob for looks or anything just set the bass boost where your comfortable and if you do decide to use turn the knob, but as long as you have the knob at its lowest setting it wont add the boost. The knob is a level controller for the amount of bass boost that you set on your amp, a fixed variable(whether its 2db, 4db or 6db). If your amp is on 4db the bass boost know will control it from the lowest point of 4db to the highest point of 4db.

You can still use your bass knob even with the bass boost turned off..

Is This A Bass Boost Knob, Or A Gain Knob?

Edit: If It's Bass Boost, You Should Keep That Off At All Times And Not Even Install The Knob.

How could you use the bass boost knob with the gain turned off, what will it do? Even though I dont recommend using it period.

i think bass boost knobs and gain knobs work different.

Bass boost knobs are not dependent on what is set at the amp, therefore u can get full effect out of the remote knob if wanted.

Gain knobs are solely dependent on the amp's settings. Whatever the amp's gain is set at, the gain knob cannot surpass this.

So if you had your bass boost setting on your amp at the lowest setting it can go, if you turn the knob on the bass boost knob it will still throw bass boost at your subs to the amps highest bass boost setting. even though i wont use it just curious to see how it works.

i dont know if i'm right but if i am, then yea.

I dont use remote bass boost knobs so i'm guessing.

I Only Use Remote Gain Knobs, And Shizzon Is Exactly Right On Their Premise.

If The Gain Is Set At A Certain Point On The Amp, The Full Crank On The Gain Knob Is Going To Be That Specific Point.

I've Never Used Bass Boost, With Or Without A Knob.
