Ok, within the next month or so I plan on getting a car stereo for my new car. I'm probably getting 4 alpine type component speakers, tweeters and cross overs with either a kenwood double din deck or a Power Acoustik touch screen deck to power the speakers. Now for the subs, right now Its between Fi and Dc, I'm leaning towards Fi but I'm just wondering what is the difference really between the Bl and the Dc?

Sorry guys. Alright heres a better post. Within the next month, I'm either getting a 2008 vw Passat or a 2010 Mazda 3. In it, I plan on getting 4 alpine type s component speakers, tweeters and crossovers with whatever headunit I get powering them. Now for my subwoofer, I've been looking at getting 1 nice subwoofer. As of current, the subs I'm looking at are a 12" Dc Lvl 4 subwoofer, a 12" Fi Q fully loaded Subwoofer, or a 12" Fi BL fully loaded subwoofer. As of right now, I've been leaning towards Fi. I'm just wondering though, whats the major difference between the BL and the Q because I noticed the BL is more expensive but the Q and Bl are both 1000 Rms of power. If someone could tell me the differnce I would appreciate it.

you know how lots of subs out there tend to loose their smooth sound tonality when you start reaching loud limits? Are you one of those guys who would rather sacrifice the maximum loud potential for consistent smooth sounding bass or do you want your bass to get louder and louder and louder regardless of what it starts to sounds like once you are really jammin?

The BL\Lvl4-basic is a good comparison to each other.

The Q is your smooth sounding sub.

Well I'm looking for a sub that can bump, but sound quality is more important to me than loudness and distortion.

The Q is what I would recommend then, it can get loud while retaining good sound quality.

Awesome! What is the main difference between the bL and Q?

from what i've heard

the Q leans more towards the sound quality side

the BL leans more towards the SPL side

they're both Fi so they both get loud and can handle some power. (btw they're both rated for 1000 watts)

Just by using that term I would see you as more of a BL user.

Haha well I might get the BL, still up in the air. I'd get them both fully loaded too if I would get one so.
