I currently have 2 Hertz EBX-200R's running off of an ARC audio KS300.4 bridged to 350w rms per sub @4 ohms. I was wondering if it would benefit me at all to go to an Orphan 8? I'm not sure I can run the ARC's bridged @ 3 ohms, though, so I would have to check that (I know they DON'T recommend 2ohms bridged). These are in the trunk of my 2007 Maxima. I don't have a lot of space, as I didn't want to chew up my whole trunk with a sub box, that's why I went with the Hertz subs, because of the small box. How small of a box can I run the Orphan 8 in efficiently? Am I better off keeping the Hertz's, or is the Orphan a better sub? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for the response, that's just what I was wondering...whether I'd see any benefit in swapping them out. I would be putting the Orphans in a small box, so I'm not sure how the output would be. I know the Orphans sure look beefy, and that rubber roll is just ungodly for an 8" sub! Anybody else have anything to offer regarding this?

The Orphan8 appears to have more potential output.I have not heard the Hertz drivers to speak on them, but I know what my RL-i can do. :)
