Howdy everyone, hope all is well... My buddy is a memeber of these forums and just spend ashit load of money on some FI audio and he refered me, he knew of my intentions of buying a speaker + amp package from soniceletronix just to get some bump in my trunk now, untill i can save up to get the high end beautiful quality, i just cant wait need sounds now lol... Heres my sisutation, I've got 400-500 dollers to spend on a speaker/s (2 perf, but 1 good one is good) 12, or 10 if i cant get my hands on a good enough amp for the price range... I've got a 2007 Chevy Impala, and its got a opening behind the seats where it will allow very nice flow from the trunk into the sitting area, so thats perfect, but i keep running into circles on what to get, and could use some advice from professionals... "SSA Dcon 10D4 (2) + Sundown Audio SAX-125.2 Combo" is some 10's with an amp for under 500, but kinda would perfer 12s... but they look good

I'm not looking for competion kind loudness, even thought I dont think my range would allow me to get one lol, any ideas or suggestions?

The Dcon package is really nice if your looking for just some bump.

My advice is to not buy something that you'll have to sell at a loss later. Perhaps if you want two subs in the future, just buy one now, and the amp for it.

For example, you could buy an Icon and a sundown SAZ1000D or something, then when you get additional funds you can add another Icon and another 1000D and daisy chain them.

Or if you want FI BLs, maybe you could buy one now and a small 2-channel amp to fit under your budget. Then when you get more funds, buy another BL, buy a bigger amp, and switch the smaller 2 channel over to powering your front speakers.

ku40 has a good point if not pair the first sub on this list of links with any of the three amps or that sub with a saz100d. then talk to the guys at ssa and/or march five audio and try getting the sub i suggested in a svc 2 ohm configure which they said they were coming out with this year i think that 18 inch sub will be like two 12 inch subs in a box with good sound. btw the 10's and 12's dcons sound good so do not stray from that either. the best amp for that sub is the fosgate. besides the sun down saz1000d the list i put to gather is for 4 ohm svc's not two ohm svc's . if you happen to get the saz1000d get the svc 2 ohm coil in the mj 18. sub any ways here is that list i think i listed them best to good in that order of power output none of those amps from ssa are junk. i think the smallest one was the sun down which would power the mj18 at about 60 % btw not sure you will fit the mj either with the box it requires. if not try a sound splinter RLI 10 with the saz1000d .just some suggestions

There is a (2) Dcon 12D4 + SAX-125.2 package. KU40 makes a good point, if you plan to upgrade, the Icon D2 + SAZ-1000D has been a very successful combo with loads of happy customers.
