they recemmend on the Q12 to be tuned at 32hz on the ported enclosure. But what size enclosure and what size port?

Sealed box: .8-1.5 cuft

Ported box: 1.8-2.5 cuft @ 28-33Hz

You'll probably want 20-30 sq. inches of port area. Length of the port depends on the size of the enclosure once you figure out port area.
