Hey guys, I'm looking into getting my dad some new speakers for his vette. I'd like to get him something that has good SQ, around in the 2-300 dollar range. It would still be ran off of the stock head unit. I think its got 5 1/4" in the door with a tweeter in the top of the door panel. I would probably also look into putting some deadener in the doors like second skin or something. Whats your alls suggestions?

why spend that kind of cash on speakers if you dont plan on amping them.

it will sound better than astock, but you are leaving sooooooo much untapped potential..

For that budget I'd take at least $100 of it and put it into an amp. Look at Sounddeadnershowdown instead of secondskin as well. Much better bang for the buck.

You could get a small LOC and a nice 4 channel amplifier and run active.
