Any little thing you can do to smooth air flow will help. Jacob did a nice topic on this a few months back showing pictures as he went along and the increases he made from them.

could you also post a pic of the final install? i thought you guys had some crazy blue LED going or something of that nature...

crazy green leds lol but thats not going in until spring probably

YAY!!!

Have u tested it before and after the port plug?

Even with the plug out, the tuning is still low enough to sound good on music.. it's just louder to the ear and the mic.

With the port plug in.. your vehicle will just fall apart, lol.

We have been patient with you two long enough. Stop dick'n around and put up the pics and vids. :santa:

:drink40:

sounds good, can't wait for the videos. :D

Can you tell me, what did you use on the angle iron and joints to seal the enclosure? I was debating today with a guy on what to use, many suggestions came up, silicone, tech7, normal wood glue, glass fiber, etc etc.

We did a dual layer of silicone and then liquid nails. I suggest just using the silicone. The liquid nails dosent do anything worthwhile.

Ok, thanks mate. We to ended on silicone, since it's cheap, flexible and easy to apply. :)

But yeah, pictures and vids. :D Man can't wait, this must be sick.

....DONE :woot:

the bass is ridiculous

I am going to upload vids as soon as possible. Sean, do you think I need to adjust the subsonic filter or do you think I should be fine? If you think I should adjust it what do you recommend to?

i adjust that filter based upon maximum mechanical movement of the sub itself. That is a preference filter in my opinion as long as you pay attention to what you are doing.

Choose a low note that you want to be able to play without it bottoming out.

Me, i personally choose 24hz as anything below that.. eh... is pointless for the music i listen to which also includes slowed music.

Set volume to maximum listening level, set subsonic ALL THE WAY UP and play the low note tone.

while it's playing, gradually turn the filter back down until the subs have reached the maximum movement you wish for them to move and that's it. that's how i do it. Never had problems doin it this way.
