Posted August 26, 200916 yr Hi, just wanted to know if the IXL-10 2.2 would live well with a US acoustics USB2150 wired at 4ohmsHere are the specs for the amp:2 x 150 @ 4ohms at 12.9 volts2 x 225 @ 2ohms at 12.9 volts1 x 450 @ 4ohms bridged at 12.9 voltsTHD less than 0.01%Frequency Response: 10Hz-30kHZ, -0.5 dBInput Sensitivity: 100 mV - 8.0 VoltCrossover range Low Pass: 40 - 460 Hz High Pass: 65 - 4.5 KHzS/N Ratio: 103 dBChannel Separation: 90 dBDamping Factor at 20 Hz: 95Reverse Polarity, Thermal, Short Circuit, and DC protection. It would be installed in the driver's side hole inside the trunk in a stealth-like box.The reason i'm looking into the IXL-10 is mainly because of the price and great reviews i am reading.I know the amp isn't giving even half of the rms rating of the sub but maybe could be good in a small box.If you have any other suggestions of sub that i could use in same price range that would better fit my amp, please share.Thank you for your time.PhilEdit: another reason is that i live in canada and save a bunch on shipping and duty charges. August 26, 200916 yr I had mine off 450wrms for ages and it was excellent quality the only limiting factor was output. What are your goals for it? pure output or a nice addition to the sound of the system?Jono
August 26, 200916 yr Author Great sub, nice amp, sounds like a great plan to me. I just want a good addition to my sound system. Here's my setup:Kenwood KDC-X589front stage: crossfire neo 6.0rear fills: mach5audio MLI-65amp: infinity 7540aI think that a IXL-10 2.2 would be a great addition at an event better price.Just not sure is i should run it at one channel per coil or in series bridged to give me 4 ohms. The amp as the same output either way.Tell me what you think.
August 30, 200916 yr The IXL drivers as a whole are very efficient drivers. I have my IXL 12's running off of 400rms each and they get crazy loud. But they blend in seamlessly if desired. Edited August 30, 200916 yr by Puggsley456
