Hey was wondering if anyone out there has some recommendations regarding enclosures specs for two RE MT 12 for daily use. I've read other post that say to use the information stated for the MX12's as a guide. Also is there a set limit to the rms these speakers can handle.

I'm not to keen on enclosures.

but for power..... 3,000-4,000 rms

They are rated at 1500 watts thermal power handling.

I've always been under the impression that these are not DD subs. Strictly for burping and competition, because of their design. Perhaps i was miss informed?

They are comparable to the Sundown Nightshade, DC Level 5, and the old BTL.

That may have been the case for some people just because of the enormous enclosure requirements and the higher Fs of the woofer. While not great sounding, its a subwoofer, its not going to be playing all sorts of frequencies like your front stage would be. Most people wouldn't even notice.
