i have heard both and i personally LOVE all FI products not just because i use them lol.

i am not sure if the alpines have a recon option or not but with the FI sub if you do someway blow them you can get a recon insted of ordering a hole new sub

the q's have great sound and can get pretty loud also!

just my opinion

good luck

Fi Q ftmfw! You wont be dissappointed. Check out www.audioque.com the hdc3 series. Ratings.. well, they're underrated substantially.

well actually i decided to go with 2 fi bl 12's off a aq2200d amp, a deka intimidator 9a31 batt for the amp. PPI 356CS for the front stage off a alpine mrp f300 givin them 150 each. 2.5cubes for each sub tuned to 33hz. any recommendations to make this set up better? maybe tune higher or lower? idk what these subs do well at.
