do i need to remove the rubber ring on the magnet before i install it or leave it on.....whats its purpose?

also what about the sticker thing on the bottom of the magnet

leave them on and the magnet protector have no idea what is its purpose but it doesnt cause anything to leave them there

If you have a 12" BTL you need to take the magnet boot off though, it will not fit in the cut out hole with it on.

ok glad u told me that because it is a 12", i was about to keep sanding on the hole!!
