Posted May 25, 200520 yr I just purchased a 12" Magnum..Its got the original claw basket. Now I was gonna use this in a spl application. What kinda power do people run these off of for comps? I was plannin on putting it in a ported box tuned to 40hz. Size unknown.
May 26, 200520 yr Author Thanks for the welcome. It seems that every thread I open is about a different line of the magnums? Is there a different line? Every pic i've seen has the word Magnum on the cone. The one I bought doesn't. Heres a link to the sale with some pics. Could everyone enlighten me on this sub? Still haven't paid for it and don't want a bootleg sub lol. By they way im not a total newb to audio. Just new to this company.http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=99789
May 26, 200520 yr No, this is how I bought it from KARLEON who bought it from Nick. There were a few without logos and KARLEON bought one with the logo and one without. I then picked up the one without it.
May 26, 200520 yr Admin welcome, talk to Electrodynamic or rangerman, both would be a great help for you
May 26, 200520 yr If you have a driver without a logo, consider yourself lucky. You are one of about 10 people that got drivers before the rest were stolen from us. Every other SI driver had a logo...unless you bought a stolen one, which I highly doubt.
May 26, 200520 yr I do not believe it is stolen...Here is the orginal post of the guy I bought it from.http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=66216I still can not believe someone could do that to you all
May 26, 200520 yr What I have been told (and I have used) for PURE SPL:3.5 cubes NET, tune to peak @ Resonant Frequency, 70-90 in^2 of port! Keep in mind, this is for a pure competition SPL enclosure....that's the sweet spot. NGPS: Power handling, I used to have TWO Magnum 12's and 2400++ rms daily. Competition, you can burp them with 2000-3000rms...seen it done numerous times.
May 26, 200520 yr I know your driver isn't stolen. Your particular driver is just like the version before it (12-spoke basket) but without a logo on the dust cap.The new drivers that are coming out are a completely different cup of tea.
May 27, 200520 yr I am still super suprised that there has been no sign of the stolen drivers <{POST_SNAPBACK}>x2
