Well let me first start off by saying, hello everyone! I know I don't frequent any of the forums very often anymore and I apologize deeply. <3's you all.

Anyways, my dad came up to me the other day and had a car audio question! I was in complete shock and happy at the same time. It was great to hear him finally wanting something for the car my mom drives. And then it was a question about an in dash screen! Ok I know how forums go so please let me make this very clear and upfront. The two decks I'm about to have you guys compare are the ONLY OPTIONS available for debate. Please do not mention any other decks out there as in, "well this would be better." My dad is very thick headed and has already priced out both options from two different local shops, with install. So please just help me help him in his decision between the two he has picked out.

The two he has looked at are as followed: Kenwood DNX6140, Alpine IVA-w203/p1.

I believe his main goal was just to have navigation and XM radio. Those are the two key options he was really wanting for my mom. Everything else just didn't really matter I guess. It's his deal, not mine. We all would have gone with a different option but this is what he wants.

lol yeah Hawkeye or Alan Alda from Mash. Love the show. Anyways, after some of my own research I actually come up by the Kenwood being the better option. I didn't find anything that directly compared the two but the reviews that I found on the alpine weren't the best and really gave bad marks on the navigation, which is really important to my dad. The kenwood however, got great reviews and actually had a pretty detailed one on a subaru forum! so I told him to go with that one. Hopefully it turns out well and maybe I'll even write a review for it. =p.
