Posted October 14, 200915 yr I just got 2 Fi Q15's with the BP power and put them on an Audioque 2200d amp. I have listed the specs of the system to see if everything is tuned right? Because the subs just are not hitting as hard as I think they should.Specs:Box made of 3/4 mdf. The box is 8 cuft NET tuned to 32hz with 106sqin of port.external dimensions-43" wide 30" tall17" deepPort on the far left - 28.5" high4" widekeep port 4" wide throughout. The right port wall is - 28.5" high x 11.5" deepThe port wall to the right of that is 6.25" deep x 28.5" highAnd here is a pic of the box. Shizzzon came up with this idea for us and it turned out great, he helped me a lot in doing this system. The amp is an Audioque 2200d and we ran one + of the amp to the + on coil 1 and ran the - of the amp to the - on coil 2, and ran a wire from the - on coil 1 to the + on coil 2. We did this to both subs to run a 1 ohm load because we got dvc 1 ohm subs from you.We tuned the amp as, LPF set between 100-110, subsonic filter set at about 30 hz, bass boost set at 0, and the gain set at 3/4, and then set the volume on the head unit to 27 and turned the remote bass control till the clipping light started to flash with the bass.We can all 0 gauge wire to the amp and have a 1900 amp battery.Does all this seem to be right? Because the subs just arnt hitting like I taught they would? If you need any more info I can try and get it for you.-Alex
October 14, 200915 yr can u make a video of 30fps?Also, describe what it isn't doing that you are expecting? If you are lacking lowend, try tuning the subsonic down just a little but i don't think that's your complaint though. The subs are in their recommended enclosure - 4 cuft per sub @32hz...I would go over the box and make sure you have absolutely no air leaks. Check and see if the clip light ever comes on... If it's not coming on, u need to crank it up some more. Also, can u make a vid of the clip light? I know that sounds stupid but maybe you are being to safe... I try to almost scare people from clipping their subs because i figure they still might turn it up just a little past what they should... We can go from there.
October 14, 200915 yr Also, post where u are located and of our members on here may be able to personally help as well.
October 14, 200915 yr Author I will try and get a viedo at 30fps and the clip light. The prob is you can hear the subs coming down the road from about a mile away but when you get in the truck they dont seem to hit as hard as you think they would.I talked to the guys at Fi audio and they said to pop test the subs with a battery, check the voltage drop, and turn the LPF down to about 80.The guys at FI also said the box and port where perfect for the setup so that is not the problem. It is my little brothers truck that the system is in but he doesnt know how to get on here so I do it for him. He is in hoover, al about 15 south of bham. But he will be coming down to Auburn, AL to see me this weekend.-Alex

Right or wrong?

Right or wrong?Yea but it just wasnt sounding like it should insides the truck. We did some more tuning to the head unit and and I got him some songs that are killin the lows. And maybe the subs still have to break in a little and loosen up more.-Alex
October 19, 200915 yr just a thought... it seems like your goal is to be loud, why did you go with Qs? why not 2 BLs? but you said you have talked this all through with shizz.. so im sure you have already gone over this? just curious
October 19, 200915 yr like you said the subs still need to break in. just give it a little more time and itll start gettin louder.

October 20, 200915 yr did u play with the bass boast yet, it's there for a reasonYeah to not use it (will cause distortion and eventually may ruin the sub if not used correctly), please dont use it.
