Alright So I Decited I Wanted To Put A Built In Screen In My Box.

I Was Wondering If The Magnetic Pull Of The Magnet Would Mess Up The Screen In Any Way?

I Know Magnets Mess Up Cathode Ray Tv's (OLD STYLE)

However The One Im Using Is A 22' LCD

The BTL 15'' Barely Clears So Im Happy About That,

I Just Wanted To Know About The Magnet Affecting The Screen?

I personally think that is a ridiculous idea. Magnets will mess up the screen, since those subs have bigger magnets than my cvx's (which messed up my tv since, I had the tv sitting on top of my box with subs in it) I know they will mess up tv

Why would you want to do that anyway?

I Just thought it would be a cool idea.

Like Touch up the box a bit.

Make It more of a custom setup like you see these days with people having screens in the back by there subs.

You have to test it and see... I think you can get some small/thin lead sheets that can shield it, if needed...

I had LCDs on one one of my enclosures with no issues....

I had a a 13.3 or 13.5" LCD centered on the back and a 6.5" on either side of it...

That was on the back, when you dropped the tailgate of my Blazer... I have (might still have it) a video switcher so I could switch what source goes to to what Monitor...

So I'd have Drivers Side Visor playing Halo or D.O.A.3 and the other side playing a Movie or some decent videos, then in the back the Center bigger one would be XBox and one of the smaller ones would be movie/video and the other smaller mon would be displaying the video from a small LCD I had in the back and front....

I don't know why, but people freak out when they see themselves on TV... That and they always liked the Xbox better than the PS2 even though it was newer...

Depending on the parking at shows, I'd run long ass CAT5 cables I made to two of the other guys in the Car Clubs rides that also had Xboxes and we'd play Halo against each other at shows......

Would I use this much for Daily driving, no.... Althought my wife used to play DOA3 or that stupid Fusion Frenzy on the way back from the Cabin or CarShows we went to out in Kansas City...

So your still gonna do it? :suicide-santa: I feel there are plenty of other places to put a screen at and an enclosure is not one of them. I would try to find somewhere else in the rear to put it (but to each its own).

Yeah Im going for it.

Like Smullen Said, I Wont Know Untill I Test It And See.

I seen screens everywhere and to me they are played out (I guess people who have just gotten into the car audio game or just now seeing them might think they are cool). Staying in Texas and Florida (I seen 20" or bigger screens inside the car with 6 other screens around it, I seen screens in a car door/actually 1 screen in each door).

But if thats what you want them go for it I guess.

What are you puttin this in???

Any pics of what you got goin on now???

How are you going to power a 20"+ LCD? Is it native to 12V???

The one I had would run on 12V DC or 110AC.... For the Xbox and small Hub I had to have a Power inverter...

MODERATOR Can You Change The Topic Title To "Screen Install In Box"

Thank You!

thats going to look sweet when installed!!!
x2
looks nice. hope that sub doesn't wreck that screen to bad lol
thanx lol FI Subs Are Beastly so ill keep my fingers crossed that it doesnt

Cool, whats your video source gonna be? DVD Headunit, game console, mini cams ???

If you make a separate chamber for the tv you will be fine. We installed a 42" hide away lcd in a box and it popped out through the box and nothing happened to it (this was sealed off from the rest of the enclosure). This is just to show you that the magnets will have no effect lcd.
