Posted October 30, 200915 yr I cannot choose a sub to buy. although i have picked out a few i am intersted in. I really like low notes, so the sub has to play good low notes. I will put the sub in a ported box. it will be pushed by an audioque 1200d or 2200d. I just wnat to know which will be louder and better.1.Audioque hdc3 152.Soundsplinter Rl-p 153. Fi BTL 154. Orion HCCA 155. Cascade Designs Omega 15Those are subwoofers i seem to like, if there are any that are really good that i am missing and you think it fits me then tell me, only if it is in the price range of 250$-400$Thank you for your timeEdit- I have a jeep grand cherokee so i have alot of space and no eletrical upgrades, but willing to get another battery. October 30, 200915 yr How much space do you have to work with? What vehicle is this going in?Any electrical upgrades?
October 30, 200915 yr I agree with Jay-cee, sounds exactly like what you're looking for. If you are really trying to save money then just match the AQ amp with the AQ woofer. the BTL is a great sub, but it is out of your price range and to really power it to it's potential is going to cost another 5-600 dollars in electrical upgrades. I think all audioque would suit your needs, and for a few more dollars an xcon matched with a 1500d would be a little upgrade.
October 30, 200915 yr go for the ssa/sundown combo : you will love it!I don't think the btl is the best choice for low low notes : it's a spl monster, that can play music, but the xcon is a very musical sub, that is really loud!!!

BTL's have the ability to crush notes as low as you want, they just are as "smooth" you could say as an "SQ" woofer.
