i got rid of my RE SE 15 recently. ran it in 3 cube sealed, amazing lows, but looking for more output sealed if poss. could i expect more output with a Q 15 sealed due to higher excursion than the SE? if not and ported is the only way, will the Q 15 work well with a 28hz tuning in a box smaller than 4 cubes? my goal is amazing low end extension like my SE had sealed, just louder. i dont feel that a Q 12 will be capable sealed of this compared to the RE 15. amp is a Sundown sae-1200d

The Q should be able to handle more power and should get a little louder, but if you're looking for a decent step up in output you'll need to go ported. As per Fi's recommendations, the 15" Q should work fine in 2.8-4 cubes ported.

Usually you arent going to get those really low notes to be very loud. Its more what you can feel with the lower frequencies. More output means you should have tried to port the SE first. Like KU40 said, if output is what you will be looking for, then you should port it. The lows are always going to be there with an FI sub, granted you dont tune the box too high.
