Posted June 9, 200520 yr I've been trying to explain to this guy on EvolutionM.Net that there is no such thing as a break in period for amplifiers. He says the transistor crystal's chemical composition changes slightly since they are made and don't see power until the consumer buys it(I assumed that from a comment or 2 he made). I realized I don't have much factual proof in my handds for my arguement. Are there any tests/ studied someone could point me to to further my side? Here's the thread(they have a 5=day wait for registration so don't bother trying to quickly jump in)http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=142921
June 9, 200520 yr We do a burn-in for all products at work with active components, but that is more for helping finding problems that don't show up in the early tests.
June 9, 200520 yr Author Thats like saying monster cables make a difference in sound<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I got 2dBs on the old TL from my Monsters. OMG, maybe he is right on the break-in period! My transistor crystals must've been rounded off! That's must be why I'm always clipping my woofers too!

June 9, 200520 yr NO WAY !* runs and grabs monster cable*make sure you get it flowing the correct direction
June 9, 200520 yr Author Jack Frost said it better than I ever could.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>That makes sense. I know absolutely nothing about tube amps... besides they're so damn pretty in the dark!
June 9, 200520 yr his flux-capacitor was not recieving a full 1.21 gigga watts<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I knew that too
June 9, 200520 yr his flux-capacitor was not recieving a full 1.21 gigga watts just wait till it starts lightning and get a long rod and hope you get struck
