I am currently running a Crunch GP12D4 running off a Hifonics Titan TXi 6006 (budget setup in a small UK car) but I'm not sure what the ideal box would be?

I'm going for an SQ setup but I do like my bass

The manufacture reccomend 1cu ft in a sealed box & 1.25 cu ft in a ported box? What would you guys recommend?

Also what would be the best way to wire up my sub to give the best sound?

Do you like ported boxes or do you like sealed boxes, have you heard both to compare. Any of the two styles of boxes can give you nice SQ and bass at the same time (the ported box will have more output than the sealed box).

I would use a ported enclosure for that if you want it to be at its loudest. A sealed enclosure for that probably isnt going to have much sound quality anyway.

The problem is your amp is a two channel that doesnt bridge to 2 ohms. The only way to run those two together properly would be wiring each voice coil on seperate channels of the amp. Which would be 150rms per side.

I've not heard my sub in a ported enclosure yet, I had it running in 1 half of a twin 12" enclosure (2 cu ft each side) when I changed from my Infinity's to my Crunch and it sounded quite nice but poor SQ, its currently running in a 1.5 sealed enclosure and the SQ is deff better but just seem's to lack somthing so I'm thinking the ported could be the best of both for my setup.

I'm looking to build everything into a false floor in the boot once everything is setup and running right, using the spare wheel space for the sub.

If I recreate the same volume in the floor and port it, will I still get the same sound or will it change things again?

I didnt realise you could wire the amp that way (again being a total noob ) how will this affect the way the sub sounds?

Wiring it a certain will still give it the same sound, the only thing that changes is if you drop the ohm load you get more power to your subs and if you raise the ohm load you usually get less power from your amp to your speakers.

X2. Same goes for the efficiency as well. The higher the load, the more efficient the amp will be and the lower, the less.
