Thought I would throw this out to the suggestions and ideas of the collective of SSA. So, we need to find a video camera for friends of ours who are going to have a baby and they don't have a video camera.

Here are the stipulations:

• Small in size
  
• $150 budget
  
• digital (hard drive only)
  
• simple enough to use for a new mom
  

I have a small digital video camera that would be a worthy option, but I am not as versed on video camera's as I would like to be. Any and all suggestions welcome, with links please.

When you say small do you mean pocket small or palm small?

If you go with a palm size there are some options, palm size is a little tougher to find unless you go with recertified one.

For a palm size with hd in that price range you are really limited. Sometimes you are better off using flash memory to keep the price down.

And if the flash fails you can replace it, HDD fails you throw it away.

So far the JVC is looking like a winner.
