Posted December 5, 200915 yr Does anyone know if it is a true remote gain control or just a bass boost? Also if it is a true gain control, will the actual gain on the amp supersede the remote knob? By this I mean no matter how high I crank the remote knob, it will not go past the gain setting on the amp, correct?
December 5, 200915 yr If it is a bass knob then dont use it or the bass boost function on the amp, just my .02. But if its a gain knob then it will control the gain at that setting on the amp. For example if you have the gain at 50% on the amp, then it will give you the mininum level of 50% all the way to the maximum level of 50%. So for instance if you had it turned up to max it wouldnt control the gain and raise it to 60 or 75% from the gain knob, the only way the actual gain percentage will change is if you went to the amp itself and messed with the gain setting.

Just checking to see if someone has experience with this amp and would know which one it has.
December 5, 200915 yr Author Answered my own question thanks.DISCUS Amps -- Bass Equalization The DSC Series Bass EQ shapes low-frequencies with up to 12dB of equalization @ 45Hz to compensate for the problem inherent in reproducing large amounts of bass in the small confines of a vehicle. This bass equalization control can be remotely operated thru the Remote Bass Control on mono-block Discus amplifiers. Will not be using it then. No bass boost for me, LOL.
