hey so I bought Bl 18in dual 1ohm. Im using the Re calculator for a L port, but im seeing there are many variable s that i have to account for so if you guys can help me understand what to do. Its going to be tuned at 32 hertz So how much port area should i have? My demnsions are 37W by 20H by 15 D. How much box voulme should i have? And where should i mount the subwoofer can i have it on the same side as where the vent will be? how far from the vent should it be? This is the first time i have ever done somthing like this so i dont know all the terms and what they mean so if you could plz explain it. thx!

What Amplifier Are You Using?

12-16 Sq. In. Of Port Area Per Cubic Feet Of Volume.

Your Enclosure Should Be Between 6 Cubes - 9 Cubes Depending On Power. When We Get This Information We Can Give You An Estimate.

Yes, Your Port Can Be On The Same Side As The Driver, Depending On Vehicle Or Preference, You Can Have The Driver Upfire And Vent Firing Rearward. (SUV's, etc.) I Forget The Rule On Driver Placement As Far As Being Away From The Port, But In The Middle Of The Baffle Is Fine. (For The Port And Driver Being On The Same Side.)

Also, What Vehicle? I'm Sure A Few Members On Here Can Design You A Box, Ask Shizzon.

Or You Could Got To PWK's Site.

Be Careful With That RE Calc, That Thing's Done Some Iffy Things In The Past.

What kind of car??? Are those dimensions all the MAX and are they outside dimensions??? looks like space will be tight. you only have 8.5 cubes BEFORE the port and the sub

Just Type His Name Into The Search Bar On The Forums.

I'd Go For A Different Driver/Port Axis Than That In That Car, Did An Install In A Probe Before For A Friend Of Mine, Sub Up Port Rear Worked Very Well.
