Soo i was drivin down the street bumpin and all the sudden my subs cut off, when i checked it the amp was not turned on but the fuse wasnt blown, i took the fuse out then put it back in, the amp turned back on immedatley after. next time im driving it does the same thing and i have to take the fuse out and put it back in to turn on the amp. it only cuts out when i turn it up to a little over half volume.

i would just go throw on another fuse but they dont sell any 250a fuses at my local places so id have to order online

a buddy of mine had the same problems..check your grounds and make sure they have good connections

The fuse might not be the issue. By taking the fuse out you are just "resetting the memory". Check the connections, switch the fuse just to be safe, and if that does not work look into checking your grounds.

doesn't sound like a fuse issue to me sounds like a ROAD issue! stop driving down that road!

LMAO jk!! but i had a similar issue and i just redid my grounds and it all worked out!! make sure to grind it down to bare metal via disk grinder and then put your ground there then maybe put some grease on it to prevent rust~!

my amp is grounded straight to one of my optima yellow tops via ring terminal...

are you talking about a amp ground or battery ground

The amp does not have to be grounded to the chassis as long as the battery is sufficiently grounded to the chassis. Check all your grounds! The amp takes the battery's ground and uses it to ground itself so check that bad boy out.

What are you using to ground your battery as far as gauge wire goes?

I'm using 0g to ground the amp and the battery ground is also 0g, worked fine on my way home from school but well see. If my battery ground was loose wouldn't I lose all the cars power when it came off instead of just the amp

Your car can be ran without a battery as long as your alternator works. That is how back in the old days they used to check to see if your alternator was bad. They would disconnect the battery and if the car ran it was fine, if not then the alternator was bad.

Back in the day? Heck i used that method till i got a DMM here recently
