Ive got a 15" SSD with the flatwind coil option. Just wanting to know what amp would be better, and if the audio que puts out more than 870 @ 2ohm

Probably with the right electrical and steady voltage around 14 volts or so, yeah it should do rated power and then some hopefully. I would say get whatever amp is within your budget and dont worry about the watts (your sub wont see that 800 rms the whole time anyway since music changes). If you still cant decide then do a simple coin toss and call it a day.

Is the sub D1?

There is no better amp, each amp will do the same for the sub which is provide power for it to bump. What is your budget?

yea its the D1

if u need an amp that does power at 2 ohm, then look for an amp that is rated for maximum performance at 2 ohms.

the Alpine MRP-M1000 is rated at 1000w@2ohm and can be had for $300.

If you want a serious amp, check out Alpine's PDX.1000 amp. It does 1000w at 2-4ohms and is guaranteed to deliver lots more power to a setup than an equivalent amp rated at just 2 ohms but is also just over $400 too.

The audioque seems to be cheaper if your worried about price.

Where are you seeing that alpine amp for $300. Not doubting you just curious.
