Don't even look at power ratings on tweeters. You will never, ever, put 200w to a tweeter.

The lower you cross, the steeper the crossover slope needs to be or you'll greatly restrict power handling and thus output capabilities.

Got a link or model number for the tweeters you are looking at?

oh i know about it, i wasnt thinkin about 6db, it would be either 12 or 18db crossed and i wouldnt even cross that low.

I was just wayin that's how they are rated so crossing a lot higher just gives a better feeling about they can still handle the power fine.

Is your goal still mainly just to get loud?

As much as it pains me to say this, you might be better off with some horn loaded tweeters or compression drivers with pro audio horns. Would be cheaper than that Morel tweeter and get 3x as loud off of 10w of power. Something like the Eminence APT-80

If you want loud, just get horns.

I have messed with a buttload of Morel tweets in my day, and I have never found the limits of one. With that being said, I simply don't see the need for this in your application. As the rest have suggested, go with something better fitting like a pro audio driver. You're really just throwing money away.

You are going to have way more money in your crossovers than your tweeters.

2 things you need to do. 1) run active *and I realize you have some reason you think you can't, get over it* 2) Get a driver that is meant to be loud, not a hifi driver
