Yeah if not used right it will make the amp clip and eventually ruin the subs if pushed to hard. I recommend you dont use it and your subs will sound better if you set your amp right and dont use it.

"Bass boost" should really be renamed to "distortion boost"

99.97% of the time, it is a very bad idea to use it.

Set your amp right, and spare your subs the abuse. :santa:

thanks for the replys, not gunna use it. got my sundown 50.4 in today, looks great cant wait to get the rest of the equipment so we can start the install

I have the same amp on a BL. I do not use the bass boost at all and the sub sounds great.

ya i was rocking a 750.1 trying to get more boom out of my CVR 12's x2 and blew one of them :( Bass boost on AMP is bad :)

just another reason to buy a upgrade :D rocking CVX's now

I have the same amp pushing my Cvx 15 for the pass two years and now my Re Audio SX 10 and i do not use the bass boost at all on that amp nor on the head unit eq sub still pounds.
