lol i got pissed when i put a hole in my q...let alone if somebody else did it...i was in a bad mood for like 3 days after i did that.

The other nite we were changin the box my fi's are in and the drill slipped and went through the rubber on the subwoofer.. He said if we put rtv silicone on the inside and outside of the cut it would be ok but Im not sure any help would be good

mooootthhhheeeerrrrrrr f'er

Silicone in the tear and a thin layer top and bottom... normally holds fine for years. Not the prettiest of fixes, but Id do it instead of spending the $$$ for a recone at this time. My thought is if anything else is wrong with the system or setup, musical listening habits, or anything else... Id rather abuse this one than a fresh one. If not, itll still work just fine.

Thanks,

Scott

Even better than silicone is Goop from Home Depot. If it will repair a completely shredded surround and stand up to a 20k amp afterwards you'll be good to go. Just put in on the under side. I promise it will do the job well!
