Posted January 26, 201015 yr Hey guys lookign for some insight. I have a 2002 lincoln ls, i was looking at (4)10 inch BL subs or(1) 15 inch sub built to specs both set ups on a saz-1500 or saz-2000. Budget not really an issue. The enite trunk is going to be used no spare tire. Which one Would you choose? Recommendation also welcome
January 26, 201015 yr Author Sorry, Im looking for real lince low end and decent out put. I listen to rap and rock, im not looking to shatter my windshield but i would like the car to be full of bass. Maybe 140s or so. I want to nice custom trunk with a nice set up. Also im not looking to compete. This is for me as a daily system
January 26, 201015 yr I know for a fact you can fit 2 15"s back there. 4 10"s = 314^2 of cone1 15" = 178^2 of cone2 15"s = 353^2 of coneNow which should you chose? 1 15" would be much less cone area and less motor force then the 4 10"s or 2 15"s. The 4 10"s would have less cone are then the 2 15"s, but more motor force. Personally, 2 15"s
January 26, 201015 yr Author hey bassahaulic, I like the idea of 2 15s, the only reason I was considering the 10s was because of space. Do you think I could fit 2 btl 15s with the right box? I have thought about taking the backseat out and doing an 18 but that might be a little much for my car.

More than likely you may have to fire these subs forward, do you have or will you have the budget to do some massive electrical upgrades to keep up with the power you will be putting in this car to push these BTL's. The real question is what is your budget for subs, amps and electrical upgrades?
January 26, 201015 yr i have 1 15" BTL and i have great output, and hit in the 140's.but 4 10s has much more cone. but 2 15s would be even better like jay-cee saidi'd do two 12" or 15" BLs on 1 Sundown SAZ-2000D. i think you'd be quite satisified.
January 26, 201015 yr Author I have a 200 amp alternator and one run of 1/0 back to the battery. I have about $1000.00 for subs and i have the money for the amp. I would like to stick with the saz-1500 because its fused on the amp. But the saz-2000 looks so nice I really want it. Yes i will be running a second battery. I have yellow top now and i want to get two of the same. I would lke to get Xs 3100.

Just remember subs in the right size enclosure will outperform and sound better than subs in a cramped enclosure.
January 26, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the info, Might stick with btl 12s, do you think there will be loss of output firing them forward. Trunk rattle get on nerves.
January 26, 201015 yr if you deaden correctly there won't be any rattle but there's no sure answer if there would be a loss of output, it all depends. so basically you're have to try it out for yourself. but my assumption is that it'll lose output. Edited January 26, 201015 yr by mbarber25
January 26, 201015 yr Author Ok, thanks everyone for your input when I start this ill start a build log.

Trunk rattle get on nerves.Output shouldnt be loss, if you seal them off from the trunk when you fire them forward then you shouldnt have any trunk rattle (or very minimal rattle).
