Autosounds4less on ebay, great prices, cheap and superfast shipping, they also marked down the item value to lower duty fees for me, since I live in Canada.

They also had a sale on all three amps when I picked them up. Total was $687 for all three amps + shipping.

Rubicon Amplifiers

There's no fuse on the amp, but apparently it's rated @ 250A. 0AWG power/ground input.

Was trying again for best bang for buck amps.

I'm hoping they perform at least equally as well as the Tarantula series amps I just sold, which I was VERY impressed with.

Me likey :pornsmilie: , any other pictures of all the amps. What equipment will you be using on these amps?

I was really just interested in seeing the insides of the 2500D, I have all three amps here and they all look the same from the outside, just different sizes. =]

Using:

CL-62 - CDT Audio 6.5" 2 Way Component Speakers with silk dome tweeter for front.

CL-69X - CDT Audio 6 x 9" 2 Way Coaxial Speakers for rear.

I ran these speakers last year, but only the fronts amped, they sounded great.

I'm upgrading the sub from a 12" Fi BL (loaded) @ D2, for a Fi BTL (loaded) @ D2.

I still can't get over the weight of this thing..lol

Guts look similar to the PCA3500D. They made the right move and installed the mosfets at an angle, opposed to perpendicular to the board like on the 3500d. Much much better mounting.

Why exactly would that make it better?

When they are mounted at right angles, they are very prone to failure due to vibration. When they are mounted straight(or almost ) up, the stress is taken off the legs of the mosfets. That is one very fast way to get an idea for build quality.

That's what I was thinking, I just wanted a technical explanation. :)

Correct. Failure happens due to vibration, the legs break off. Anything but perpendicular is good. Look at Sundowns, dd z1 (opposed to the z1a) and the list can go on.

i just picked one up for myself, to run my two fi ssd's. it sounds good, and gets pretty loud, since at full tilt i cant see straight, and my hair flutters to the bass, and it gets hard to breathe, but it still doesn't seem like its enough for me. but then again after some of the crazy setups i have had, nothing is ever going to be enough.
