I agree with you sir ... thats why I said "most" on that part ... you (like me) have plenty of room for that specific enclosure to make it work ... same for TJ's truck on my cardomain site ... you got to find the "good ones" ...

True very true!

I looked at your CarDomain site ..... Nice install! Are those original Blues speakers or are they the new versions?

To help you out on the pic posting you can go to Imageshack for free and load them up and then copy and paste the code in the post.

thank you sir ... those in the pics are originals ... my new one are on the way ... I can't wait ...

Well, there's this song by young buck called 'The Strip.' It has a really low bass note in that, which my subs do hit, but very diminished like, probably around the roll-off of the sub's capability. I'm really trying to stick with a sealed enclosure. I'm thinking I'll buy a new sealed enclosure for my next sub &, if that doesn't have enough output, then I'll try a ported enclosure & tinker with that.

That song peaks at 28 and 39 Hz, Your subs shouldn't roll off that much. If you want more output in the low end you NEED to port, it's that simple.

More of an ear problem than a sub problem. A sealed box will play those nuts just fine. If you want a peak there though indeed a different alignment , larger/more drivers, or some eq work will be required.

It is interesting that people relate larger cone to better low frequency response. . .Also interesting that people say they are not related and 2 drivers of the same model but different sizes will sound the same. . .I think some people read too much on forums and then post based on general ideas :)

t/s parameters of the driver and what box the driver will be installed in will determine what kind of lows it will have. . .

He's saying he wants those notes with more volume though.

I think that is why he said:

It is probably confusing where more across the board separates from better low. Of course most people can't hear for shit either so maybe it is just an untrained ear causing the thought.

Yep, and I purposely left out "bigger box" although that could help with the low issue, but considering how the post was made I'd bet that there would then be power handling issues.
