so i have a 15" dual 2 ohm Fi Q, my sundown sae-1200d is gonna get repaired. i picked up a memphis mojo 2000 that is a 2 ohm amp. i currently have the Q wired up to a 4 ohm load and is hooked up. im just wondering why it does not get that loud? is it because it's wired to 4ohms? am i not getting the full power of the sub?.or is it because the sub is new and it's the first time it's seen power?. it's just weird becuase i can turn my kenwood deck up quite a bit., and it wont get as loud as i thought it would. some songs it will sound loud...maybe just wait it off and let the sub break in first? any help is appreciated, especially if you been down this road with the same sub before

How did you set the gain

well my box is 4 cubes exactly and 31hz AFTER displacement & bracing. it is not glassed, no 45's in corners. it's funny because it's starting to get louder from when i posted this thread. LoL. but for some reason i keep thinkng my box is not right.... it does get low though!!!. would it be bad to go a little over 4 cubes? my gain is a little past half. LPF is almost all the way down. subsonic is off * theres a switch for it*...can someone explain to me about the subsonic?. and the bass eq i think? or another setting is at minimal. but overall it sounds very good, acurate, and get's surprisingly low!!. but i honestly wish i got a BL..just because im a bass head and i have a feeling i will get used to the bass very soon...lol. i just wanna know if putting it in more cubes of space will hurt or strain the sub?

Set the subsonic 3-5 Hz. below tuning, LPF 60-80 Hz.

If you made the enclosure larger it would get louder be increasing efficiency. It would make mechanical failure more likely though if it's too big.

If your LPF is almost all the way down, it may be too low and cutting off bass frequencies. As Duran said, try setting it to around 80 hz.
