i swore to myself yesterday that i would 'leave the system alone' for a month,to fully appreciate and give it a chance. but less than 12 hours go by and im wonderin,if i threw a box on that baffle ???? new speakers in the doors? deadening material/hood/firewall liner?........i will not touch it for a month...i will not,no no no!!!!.........must sleep..... stop thinking bout the sounds......notice wife........perhaps just the door speakers?....

We got a lot in common my new friend, I hit 41 in April, and have been fighting this disease for 25 years. I swore when I dropped the Focals in the doors and the Rl-p behind the seat, my truck would be complete. Not!!!! I have since picked up a set of Rainbows (awaiting install), am gonna grab a new alternator and battery next week, Midbass drivers the week after, and so it goes. Is there a cure?

music is a wonderful thing, and where can we enjoy it more than 'cranked' a bit in our cars?.....ill take the focals ;)

LoL - agreed. It's very addictive. I've been fudging around with this truck for just about a year.... I prolly wont stop until I sell it or trade it in.

But at least we're always looking to improve... thats good, right?

Thats very good....great minds are always seeking ways to improve things......right? Hey 60, when I pull the focals I'll drop u a line. Should be in the next month.

lol...

man....i'm "just" 33..and i don't see a cure anytime soon..i've owned my silverado for just about a year...

5 different head units..fixing to be 6 (anyone interested in an eclipse 3434?)

two different sets of componets up front (focals gave way to memphis, haven't been happier)

one set of rear speakers (memphis of course..lol)

and at least 6 different amps powering at least 6 different sub setups...lol..and i'm not done yet..hehe

when does it all end? it won't. we have a disease, and unlike most, it just keeps getting worse. there is no cure as we press forward to find the perfect soundstage, the loudest set up or a swell combination of both...

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

Just face it, we love to hear music played how it should be, and like to push the envelope when it comes to acoustics :)

I have been playing around with stereos forever it seems, chit, the first time I smoked an amp was when I was 10 haha. Audio happened to also push me into the direction of my career. I knew what I wanted to do in life when I was 15...

I can thank this disease for turning me into what I am today :D

I believe I've settled down for the van install for a while...but I'm starting to lose it in the house...

when Kent's cabs arrive and are loaded with drivers, I'm going to have four pairs of speakers to choose from, three of which don't have an amp dedicated to them :ohsnap:

i need more rooms...

Im 22 and have been doing it for 7 years now. With no sign of stopping or desire too!!

i think part of the problem is the way music is recorded, some tracks sound great and others sound like cr@p, and on any given day i want to listen to different types of music, its trying to get EVERYTHING to sound good in acarthats is the root ofthe problem.i am going toresighn myself to the fact that some tracksare gonna sound cr@p and just stop the tweaking!

pm me if you have anything for sale :)

i believe i have the bug and im only 17...i have yet to install my RE SX 15 in my sig and already want to upgrade...the same with my amp...and its especially harder to control myself when there are used things for sale at especially good prices...as i want to upgrade my HU and i have had no problems with it at all...

I had symtoms of the disease when i was 14 years old.

I still have my 1st subs sitting in my garrage

this is a disease i love...

especially when i can pull up next to the kids that just dropped serious dollars at one of the local shops and smash them..lol...

but for real....

it's one that keeps u busy...and broke...

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

Thats the best part. When you spend less than 1/2 of what the other guy did and you still whoop him
