I currently have a P550MP (see sig) its a premier line, wma/mp3 capable, i believe 2.2V outputs (3 total) etc. etc. and was wondering if it would be worth it in SQ and features and just overall to spend the money to upgrade HU's? i would be buying the 860 used so i would be paying 200 ish...thanx for all the help...

Yes, its way worth it for the features.

The 860 has SO much more control than the 550.

Although, i dont prefer the orange colour of it, thats why i bought a 940mp

They will basicaly say the same thing.

My friend had the 5500MP, he went to a 9300 now to a 940MP

The 13 band EQ makes the mids/tweeters sound so much nicer and the sub volume is great as well. Turn it up if you need to show people who is boss or keep it low for that nice filler bass

so kickin...u like your 860 im guessin? well how hard would it be to switch out HU's? since i already have the mounting sleeve and mounting bracket would it basically be poppin the 550 out and sliding/connecting the 860 in and thats it?

Its not that hard

No

They have different cages and harness'

lol :owned:

Thats why you wright down what its set at in the manual ;)

if you're serious about SQ, it'll be well worth the upgrade.

I feel the HU is the one part of the system you do not want to skimp on

x2

Good speakers with a bad signal= bad speakers

When my friend went to a 4700, i could really tell the difference in sound from his speakers, as well as the sub.

I hope that 940 comes today....
