The bl is a great great sub : you will loooove it !!! Put the extra money on it and look for a good deal on an amp.

Try to find a refurb Sundown 1000 or 1500 at db-r.com. Or find a used one.

But the AQ will do the job.

Other ideas for amps : Mb Quart has some cheap amps that are not so bad at all, Cadence, even the Alpine pdx 1000

The choice is yours OP!

Check db-r electronics for refurbished Sundown amps. A lot nicer than Hifonics.

Or maybe the Sundown amps that are on sale right HERE ;)

Alpine PDX1000 is by far my favorite amp. I pucking loved it.

You can try an audiopipe amp but there only stable down to 2 ohms. There good budget amps that do rated.

The AP1500D is 1ohm stable. The AP3000D is 2ohm stable since its just 2 1500s strapped.

I'd do 2 12" AQ SDC's in 4.5cubes @ 38Hz with 72^2 of port area. Give them 500-800watts each and enjoy. I've built several set ups with the SDC's and a ton with HDC's. AQ offers a lot for the $$$...
