stock alt (110A) 21,000w of amplifier power.

been that way for about 3 months, no problems whatsoever.

Might have to put the battery charger on a batt bank once every 10-15days but besides that, they stay at 13.2v rest.

I'm patiently waiting for a secret alternator...i'm in no rush.

Got a 220A alternator, sundown saz1500d, 2 Kinetik batteries (hc2000,hc1800) mb quart 4125. Suppose if you were to add up the face value of these amps i would have 2500 watts? lol. Its not installed just yet but reading thru this thread i have a feelings im gonna be ok :)

lol, you'd be ok on stock alt and 300,000w.

It all depends on how well you monitor what's goin on with your electrical system.

Take me for example-

My alt can only output so much current so when it maxes out, the rest comes from the batteries.

Now, i never listen to it loud for no more than a few seconds because it's unbearable.

But let's say i did anyways.

Once the constant load is gone, the alt is still maxed out to charge the batteries back up...

that's NOT what you want.

If that happens, the alt can overheat and die eventually.

IF that were to ever happen(from monitoring your system properly), you can unhook the charging cable that separates your starting battery from the entire rear battery bank.

that way, the alternator only charges the starting battery and to prevent an alt failure to charge the rest in the back, they would be manually charged via charger and left unhooked from the car until they are fully charged back up.

75a (its just a lil guy) and 850 rms. My batt never gets below 12.3 without the big three which ill be doing soon and a new batt also

I got a 270 max/150 idle DC Power alt for 3k watts, two deka 9a31s in the trunk and a 9a34 under the hood.

My girlfriend has a 230max/150 idle DC Power alt for 1500 watts. :D wet cell battery and thats it. Jams at idle every day in traffic.

90 amp alternator with 3400 rated watts.

holy, did you ever have to replace your alternator? do u look like a strobe light going down the street when bumpin your music?

Still the stock one. No dimming whatsoever at full volume. :)

Must be using "compasitors". ;)

I hope that wink means your joking. There will never be a capacitor in my car. :)

Yes, and capacitor intentionally misspelled. :)

250a @ 1800 RPM, 150a @ idle ... MechMan Rhino alt feeding ~2500W RMS... constant 14.5V FTW

:twirl:

@Dan208 - Hahaha I have a guy in my car club who pronounces it like that! *rolleyes*
