2.03 cubic feet BEFORE sub displacement, tuned to 34 hz, 30 inches of port area. Is that gonna be sufficient to get me the output i want, as well as still retain a good amount of SQ?

The driver displaces just under 0.2 cu ft FYI. In my opinion, a 1.85 cu ft net vented enclosure tuned to 34 Hz would be a great enclosure for the RL-p12. Whether or not it will be sufficient for you, only time will tell... a slightly higher tuning will afford you more overall output, at the expense of low-frequency extension.

the projected box u have lined up will work fine. especially since u like the low lows...

the box mike suggested would be sweet too..tighten up the response a bit..

hopefully,u'll get the output ur after...

can he have the bigger box made and if hes not happy add some mdf to make it smaller internally?

yeah...but when u slug a ported box to take away volume, u raise tuning....

Sounds like a good plan... but where are the real numbers/design? I won't sign off on a plan until I know ALL of the variables.

Like dimensions, port length, etc.

Look at flakko's thread for a good idea what you need...

Until then, I assume you have a box with a hole in it.
