Posted April 11, 201015 yr This is a box I am building for a friend. For an 8" Kicker L5, There is very minimal space in his Jeep TJ, so the height is pretty much no give for the size of the sub, even though it is an 8". This is the first box I have ever built before, so I know it may seem a bit rough in some parts, but I am working on it to make it look good for my buddy. If you guys have any comments about it to make it better, please let me know! after all i am only a beginner! April 11, 201015 yr The box looks good, especially for your first box. I would round off the edges around the port and spray the inside of the port with a flat black spray paint.

If you are asking, yes that is a wall mounting terminal cup; but it was the only thing I could find without having to order online. I also know that it doesn't look good at all, but I am going to try and do up something creative to make it look not as bad. I also have to do a bit more clean up and re cocking since I had to drill a bit more. But I will now we painting and doing the artwork on the box, then wiring, then sealing the top down and I should be good to go to put it in the jeep.

April 15, 201015 yr Author All sanded and ready for paint...Port re-painted and some edging around the sub square...First all black coat sprayed on. NOT liking how the sides of MDF look with the black right now...Going to do some artwork tomorrow on it. make it a bit more appealing and less blank!
