Posted April 19, 201015 yr im a little confused.... everyone tells me the AP 3000.1 is stable @ 2 ohms, but the AP catalog says one... gimme some real feedback
April 19, 201015 yr Look at the picture in the catalog. It shows that it is bridged putting out 3000 watts and it says 2 ohm minimum under it. Then under that it shows it not bridged and 1500 watts going from each side at 1 ohm. It is two 1 ohm stable amps strapped together. So you were being told correctly. This could have stayed in the same post you already have started instead of making a new one.

April 19, 201015 yr so i could wire 2, 2 OHM dual voicecoil kicker L7 12s to it easily? correct (just asking the stupid questions so i dont make the stupid mistakes)yes you would wire the coils in parallel to 1 ohm per sub and then in series for a total of 2ohms at the amp
April 19, 201015 yr It is 2 1500s strapped internally. The speaker terminals have dual + and - connections. These are NOT paralleled inside like many new amps are today. They work independently from each other. The amp is rated as follows-1500wx2 @1ohm2000wx1 BRIDGED @4ohm3000wx1 BRIDGED @2ohm
April 20, 201015 yr Don't mean to thread jack but where do you get one of these amps? Is it only from a dealer?
April 20, 201015 yr Everyone seems to be out of stock right now though. Know of an expected arrival date?
