The foam on the top of the basket didn't have the mounting holes drilled in it. Also, the holes were a tad small for a 1/4" bolt. I saw a thread on here before where someone drilled theirs out to accommodate 1/4" bolts, but I've never heard anything about the holes not going through the foam. Is this normal, or did they just forget to put the holes in mine?

I've seen that on other subs as well. Not a big deal, just poke a hole as you did.

Allright, thats cool. I knew it wasn't a big deal, as I was going to have to drill out the holes anyways. Just wondering if it was like that on all the BTLs or what.

This video might answer your question!!

so it appears that it's their intent for the holes to not be there, but they are? not sure. But yeah i just drilled mine out.

I've actually watched that video before, but I didn't remember the part about the holes not being in the surround. Thanks for posting it. Answered my question, it is normal.
