Posted May 16, 201015 yr alright so i think im going to be mounting my future amp to the back of a seat. is that bad? and also what material is good so the amp doesn't rattle around.
May 16, 201015 yr If you make an amp rack out of MDF you normally won't have a problem, if your worried about vibrations make some mounting feet out of rubber and attach the amp that way.
May 16, 201015 yr I had two amps mounted on my back seat, screwed into the metal, and they did great for a year till I sold them. With a larger board being more susceptible to vibrations I'd be more cautious.
May 16, 201015 yr as long as its secured to metal it should be just fine...i did the same to my sazzy 3000D
May 16, 201015 yr Never had an issue with amps mounted to my seats at all, I have been doing this since I have been in car audio
